Rear End

Some things didn't change:

• Bumpers- All the same except for wagons. They have their own bumper.
• Bumper Guards- Optional for all years. Note: front and rear are the same although they are left and right.
• Rear Window- All the same for a given body style (coupe, sedan, wagon and convertible).
  • The glass was clear although a tinted glass option for all years and models except convertibles.
  • 1960-62 the glass was laminated.
  • 1963-64 the glass was tempered.
• Glass trim- Stainless was used on 700's and Monza's only, all others (500's models got just rubber).
• Belt stainless trim was used on the trunk and front fenders on 700's models only.

• Vertical bars on the rear grill with a cut out for the exhaust pipe.
• Engine lid Chevrolet Script.
• Note the picture shows rear glass trim even thought it is a 500 model because the correct 500 rear glass gasket wasn't available.
• Backup lights optional on all models.

• Vertical bars on the rear grill with no cut out for the exhaust pipe except for wagons. They used the same grill as 1960's.
• Engine lid (rear hatch on wagons) Triangle Corvair emblem.
• Note the rear glass trim because it is a 700 model.
• Note the belt stainless trim on the trunk lid edge and fenders because this is a 700 model.
• Same taillight lens and housings as previous year.

• Horizontal bars on the rear grill with no cut out for the exhaust pipe except for wagons. They used a new grill with the same horizontal bars but it has a cutout for the exhaust pipe.
• Engine lid (rear hatch on wagons) Corvair script emblem.
• Engine lid (rear hatch on wagons) has crossed flag emblem if equipped with super-turbo engine (102hp).
• Engine lid has has turbo emblem if equipped with spyder option.
• New taillight lens and housings.

• Every thing the same as 1962 except:
  1. New taillight lens and housings.
  2. New backup light lens and housings.
  3. License plate light now has a lens.

Note: Has wrong grill (1964) and bumpers guards are mounted incorrectly (They should be centered between the tail and backup lights).

• New front trim.
• CORVAIR Lettering on engine lid.
• Engine lid has crossed flag emblem (emblem same as 1962 & 1963) if equipped ordered with super-turbo air engine (102 or 110hp).
• Engine lid has has turbo emblem (emblem same as 1962 & 1963) if spyder model.
• New taillight lens design. Same housings.

• 1961-64 are left and right.
• 1961-64 are the same except for the painted trim.
  • 1961-62 have no paint or possibly some silver.
  • 1963-64 have black trim.

• Optional for models and all years.
• Front and rear are the same although they are left and right.
• They look similar to the FC guards but are not the same.
